Since trading, Cartridge Depot has recycled over 6000 printer cartridges. These have been cartridges that Cartridge Depot have had handed to them from Local Customers, Businesses, Schools, Churches and Charities. Cartridge Depot also gives back to these customers and organisations in the form of money, credit or discounts for empty cartridges (depending on their value). Cartridge Depot has now been trading for just under 2 years so that works out to be just over 8 cartridges per trading day being recycled!

Director Guy Ciampa says “This is a great achievement for us and the local community. With the locals’ support we would not have been able to have reached this landmark! Within our industry I believe it is important to be able to offer the recycling of cartridges as studies show that over 350 million cartridges are dumped and put into landfill each year. The fact that it can take anything between 450 to 1000 years for cartridges to decompose is staggering. The amount we have recycled since trading is a drop in the ocean compared to how many cartridges are being put into landfill, however we believe that anything we can do to help this will be beneficial to our Environment. We want to increase this figure significantly so we ask all Local People, Businesses and Organisations to join us in recycling empty printer cartridges. You do not even need to be a customer or buy anything from us, it is free, and actually in some cases you may be able to earn yourself a bit of extra money”

So next time you have an empty cartridge please think and rather than throwing it in the bin, help Cartridge Depot continue their good work by popping in and recycling your empty printer cartridge. If you have a large quantity of cartridges, Cartridge Depot will even arrange to get them collected free of charge if you are based locally.

Cartridge Depot offers an excellent service to Local Schools, Charities, and Businesses, which alongside many other benefits, includes FREE collection of empties and delivery of replacements. (Please contact us for more information about our Business Customer Services.)

Director Vincenza Ciampa says: ” We would like to say a big THANK-YOU to our existing customers for supporting us during our first two years of trading, and for playing a part in helping us to reach this incredible milestone number of Cartridges being sent to recycling.”
